Skinny Bits 4.7.10

Just some of my random thoughts as of late…

  • I’m on my fourth day of early morning Pilates. So far, so good. I’m impatient as hell though so I’m already wondering how long it will take me to start seeing results. I’ve been told three weeks to a month if I keep at it. I think I’m going to take pictures of my body now and then take another set in a month to see if I notice any lifting or muscle development. Honestly, my body doesn’t even have to change dramatically. I’ll be happy to just open a tightly-sealed jar without assistance or strain.  Continue Reading »

When Everything Is New

When everything is young…fresh…and neeeeeeeew

Let me state the obvious. This is my sixth blog home. I’ve been told that I have blog commitment issues. To an extent, I agree with this statement. I am a Libra and we strive for a sense of aesthetic and sensual balance. The places we inhabit have to appeal to us on every level before it feels like home. Finding a permanent blog home has been so difficult because nothing ever felt just right. I needed the right visuals, freedom to tweak the designs and a nifty, easy-to-use backend. I also needed to feel like I had something to say.

Since I began tweeting all the way back in September 2008, I have seen the Blogosphere change dramatically. A personal blog in 2010? Who the hell does that? Better throw in some fashion, some gossip and so-called “expert” advice if you want to get hits. (Cue XV’s Everybody’s Nobody here) And thus my on and off relationship with consistently maintaining a blog began. I was constantly thinking about what to write. Wondering what people would want to read and how much of my personal life should be filtered in and out of my posts. The result? A year of writer’s block and uninspired subliminal mumbling, sprinkled with a few readable posts here and there. That’s when I was writing at all, which became a rare occurrence.
